Nightingale Courtyard

In 2005 we were awarded the design and construction of one of the many coutryard areas within the main York Hospital. The courtyard was accessed off the main corridor of the hospital could not be accessed by the public. New automatic doors were installed to allow patients and visitors to access the garden. We were asked to produce a scheme that was unique and would set a standard for future developments within the hospital. An irrigation system was installed along with outdoor lighting to allow the garden to be lit up at night. Two large shelters were constructed to allow the garden to be used in all weathers.
